A new kind of CSA
This year I've been working hard with my friend Dianne Debicella on a new project to connect independent artists and designers with art and design lovers in the community. Modeled on Community Supported Agriculture (CSA), this project is called Brooklyn Community Supported Art + Design and operates through a shareholder network that pays up front for six art and design pieces, giving the artists and designers the freedom to explore and create a special series knowing that they'll have financial support.
Tonight is CSA+D's last event of the year to wrap up the very first season of this new endeavor! It's been an enormously fun challenge to launch a new way of engaging with art and design, and we're looking forward new and fun ways of involving the community in connecting artists and art lovers in 2014. We won't be back until next fall so stop on by the gallery tonight and have a Brooklyn Brew with us!
A few remaining shares are still available for purchase and individual pieces from each artist will also be on sale at the event tonight, so if you have some art and design lovers left on your holiday gift list, CSA+D might be just the thing!
