Pax Modern on Kickstarter

I'm excited to announce a new collaboration with Pax Modern, a home goods company starting up in Nebraska that aims to give independent designers access to manufacturing to help get great new products out there that are made in the USA.

Jeff and Teegan Nordhues started Pax Modern because they saw a need for small batch manufacturing and prototyping at accessible rates, and decided to kick things off by building a laser cutter from scratch (!). All they need now are the funds to purchase the high powered laser that will allow them to cut a wide range of materials and create all sorts of new products, and that's why they launched a Kickstarter campaign.

Check out Laser Made on Kickstarter, and in return for backing the project, you'll get first dibs on laser cut 100% wool felt home accessories in a variety of colors, of which I designed the honeycomb set shown below. The concept behind the Honeycomb Table Runner, Place Mat and Coaster sets was to utilize as much material as possible, so that the centers of of the honeycomb runner outline are used to cut coasters to cut down on waste. Available in a lovely array of 7 colors from the German felt company Filz Felt. ENDS AUGUST 11th!
